Kawaii is defined as the Japanese word for 'cute', with it being an integral part of Japanese culture.
The term has been taken into different categories of life, from food packaging to street signs. Although Japan is the main country of where the term is acknowledged and used throughout the culture, it has also exported to many countries with the franchise of Pokemon and Hello kitty.
